David Southon

Executive Chairman

In 2017, David co-founded Aliro Group to harness the combined abilities of an expert and aligned team – a team that is focused on creating enduring value for its many tenant, investor and asset owner customers.

David is highly committed to delivering positive customer experiences.

David has over 30 years’ experience in the property industry across the office, retail, industrial, and residential sectors. He has worked with private and public companies, undertaking property investment and funds management across the full risk return spectrum, from development to core real estate investment funds – both listed and unlisted.

In 1991, David co-founded Charter Hall Group (ASX: CHC), a diversified listed property investment and funds management group, now with over $20 billion in funds under management across a range of property sectors. David was instrumental in the growth of this business and was appointed Joint Managing Director prior to listing from June 2005 to February 2016. He was also a director on the Charter Hall Retail REIT (ASX: CQR) Board, the Charter Hall Direct Board, Commercial Industrial Property (CIP) Board, and was a member of the Investment Committees for various unlisted funds.

Daniel Wise

Managing Director & CEO

Daniel brings to Aliro his recognised relationship building skills, commercial strengths and focused leadership. As the co-founder of Aliro, he is highly committed to delivering superior returns across the Aliro platform.

Commencing his career at JP Morgan, Daniel has over 20 years of experience across investment banking, management consulting and executive management. Prior to his role at Aliro, Daniel served as Global Head of Property at Orica. In this position, he was responsible for a substantial global development portfolio with an end development value in excess of $3 billion, and a global operating portfolio of over 1000 properties.

As an experienced senior executive, Daniel has built a reputation for creating high value opportunities, solving complex commercial and property issues, and building and leading teams that deliver exceptional results. Daniel also has a deep understanding of how to create value across urban regeneration projects and large scale multi-stage developments covering all core property sectors.

Daniel brings the strength of high-end corporate and property expertise into a private platform, providing customers with institutional quality and the agility of an independent group to deliver enduring value.

Andrzej Masztak

Chief Delivery Officer & Fund Manager

Andrzej is renowned for his aligned approach and ability to work closely with asset owners, tenants and investors to maximise value and deliver exceptional results.

He began his career in construction, working on significant projects in South Africa, the UK and Australia. Over the past decade he has augmented these skills and experience to include property development and investment, delivering over $1 billion in commercial and industrial assets.

Andrzej offers a deep and rigorous solution-based approach to all property sectors. With expertise in future growth planning, infrastructure and true customer engagement, he optimises value for all stakeholders.

Andrzej has a strong background in negotiating, managing and delivering transactions with a range of tenants, asset owners and investors, from private individuals to large Australian REITs. However, it is his experience as a civil engineer and property professional that enables him to transform passive assets and development opportunities into investible revenue generating products.

With his diverse skillset and rich knowledge base, Andrzej is focused on exceeding customer’s expectations.

Sean Southon

COO & Company Secretary

Sean brings to Aliro extensive skills in interpersonal management and an exceptional understanding of workplace culture and operational procedures.

Much of this skillset was acquired at Law In Order, an end-to-end secure legal litigation support provider that he was instrumental in growing substantially from its establishment phase in 1999 through to November 2014. In his position as an Executive Director he was primarily responsible for the operation and expansion of the business, including all property related matters.

Prior to his time at Law in Order, Sean worked in emerging markets at Deutsche Bank London. He also obtained his commercial pilot’s licence in 1989 and spent four years in general aviation as a pilot.

As Chief Operating Officer of Aliro, Sean is deeply aware of his team’s responsibility to ensure strong corporate governance and enhanced productivity through appropriate systems and processes, as well as positive engagement of the team and Aliro’s stakeholders.

Samantha Bowie

Head of HSE & Risk

Samantha is responsible for leading and managing Aliro’s Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) and Risk across all areas of the business in line with Aliro’s development, asset and funds management processes. In addition to promoting and managing HSE and Risk across the business, Samantha has responsibility for People and Culture and Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance.

Prior to joining Aliro, Samantha was at CBRE for 12 years, most recently as Director of Enterprise Risk Management for the Asia Pacific region, preceded by six years as Head of HSE for the Pacific region. Prior to that, Samantha spent three years at Macquarie Group working across Property Compliance and WHS.

Michael Noblet

Head of Transactions & Fund Manager

Michael is responsible for transactions across the business and Fund Manager for the Aliro Group Industrial Value Fund.
He brings 15 years property experience to the rapidly growing Aliro team, previously working as Fund Manager for EG Funds Management’s $1 billion Australian Core Enhanced fund. Michael has also worked with Partners Group based in London.

Michael brings extensive experience in funds management and has had the opportunity to work across transactions, asset management and capital raising in Australian and European markets.
