David Southon
Executive Chairman

In 2017, David co-founded Aliro to capitalise on his experience and the abilities of an expert team focused on creating enduring value for tenants, investors and asset owners.

David is highly committed to delivering positive customer experiences.

He has over 35 years of experience in the property industry across the industrial, office, retail and residential sectors. David has worked with private and public companies, undertaking property investment and fund management across the entire risk spectrum, from development to core real estate investment funds, both listed and unlisted.

In 1991, David co-founded Charter Hall Group (ASX: CHC), a diversified listed property investment and funds management group with over $70 billion of real estate assets under management across various property sectors. David was instrumental in the growth of CHC and was Joint Managing Director from 2005 to 2016. He was also a director on the Charter Hall Office REIT (ASX: COO) Board, the Charter Hall Retail REIT (ASX: CQR) Board, the Charter Hall Direct Board, the Commercial Industrial Property (CIP) Board, and was a member of the Investment Committees for various unlisted funds.

Daniel Wise
Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer

Daniel brings to Aliro his recognised relationship-building skills, commercial acumen and focused leadership. As the co-founder of Aliro, he is highly committed to delivering superior returns across the company platform.

Since commencing his career at JP Morgan, Daniel has over 25 years of experience across investment banking, management consulting and executive management. Before establishing Aliro, Daniel served as Global Head of Property at Orica. In this position, he was responsible for a substantial global development book valued in excess of $3 billion and a worldwide operating portfolio of over 1,000 properties.

As an experienced senior property executive, Daniel has built a reputation for creating high-value opportunities, solving complex issues, and leading teams that deliver exceptional results. Daniel also has a deep understanding of value creation across urban regeneration projects and large-scale, multi-stage developments covering all core property sectors.

Daniel brings a wealth of high-end corporate and property expertise into an agile, private platform with a passionate commitment to delivering enduring value to customers and partners.

Andrzej Masztak
Executive Director & Chief Delivery Officer

Andrzej is renowned for his aligned approach and ability to work closely with asset owners, tenants and investors to maximise value and deliver exceptional results.

Andrzej began his career in construction, working on significant projects in South Africa, the UK and Australia. He has expanded into property development and investment, delivering over $3 billion in commercial and industrial assets.

Andrzej offers a deep and rigorous solution-based approach to every property sector. He optimises value for all stakeholders with expertise in future growth planning, infrastructure, and customer engagement.

Andrzej has a proven ability to negotiate, manage and deliver transactions with a range of customers, from private individuals to large Australian REITs. Furthermore, his experience as a civil engineer and property professional enables him to transform passive assets and development opportunities into investible, revenue-generating products.

With his diverse skillset and rich knowledge base, Andrzej focuses on exceeding customers’ expectations.

Sean Southon
Chief Operating Officer & Company Secretary

Sean brings to Aliro extensive skills in interpersonal management and an exceptional understanding of workplace culture and operational procedures.

Much of Sean’s skillset was acquired at Law In Order, an end-to-end secure legal litigation support provider he helped steer from inception in 1999 to his departure in 2014. As Executive Director, he was primarily responsible for the operation and expansion of the business, including all property related matters.

Before his time at Law In Order, Sean worked in emerging markets at Deutsche Bank London. He also obtained his commercial pilot’s licence in 1989 and spent four years in general aviation as a pilot.

As Chief Operating Officer and Company Secretary of Aliro, Sean is deeply aware of his team’s responsibility to ensure strong corporate governance and enhanced productivity through appropriate systems and processes.

Samantha Bowie
Head of People, HSE & Risk

Sam is responsible for leading and managing Aliro’s People and Culture, Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) and Risk functions across all business units in line with Aliro’s development, asset and funds management processes.

Prior to joining Aliro, Sam worked at CBRE for 12 years, most recently as Director of Enterprise Risk Management for the Asia Pacific region. She also worked as Head of Health, Safety and Environment for the Pacific region for six years. Prior to joining CBRE, Sam worked with Macquarie Group focusing on Property Compliance and HSE in the Golf and Leisure and Real Estate Groups. Sam brings a diverse professional background with HSE and rehabilitation experience in hospitality, mining, agriculture, and aged care.

Michael Noblet
Head of Funds & Institutional Capital

Michael is responsible for funds management and institutional capital. He boasts extensive experience across transactions, funds management, capital raising and asset management in Australian and European markets.

Prior to joining Aliro, Michael was Fund Manager for EG Funds Management’s $1bn Australian Core Enhanced fund, where he was involved with all facets of the creation of the vehicle and the ultimate execution of the investment strategy. Michael has also been involved with a number of sector specific and diversified funds from design through to realisation. He was also involved with establishing one of Australia’s first sustainable office funds in conjunction with the Clean Energy Finance Corporation.

Michael also has experience working in international markets while working with Partners Group based in London, where he was involved with debt and equity investments across a range of real estate sectors in the UK, EU and the Nordics.

Andreas Hacker
Head of Transactions & Private Equity Real Estate

Andreas is responsible for generating and managing deal flow across the business, for the suite of existing funds and new strategies. Andreas also leads the development and execution of Aliro's private equity real estate strategy.

Andreas brings over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, with a varied experience set including valuation, fund/portfolio analytics, capital transactions, asset management and investment strategy. Andreas has transacted on more than $2.2bn of real estate across sectors.

Prior to joining Aliro, Andreas was the head of Australian real estate equity for PAG, an Asia Pacific focused alternatives investment manager.  Prior to this, Andreas managed equity investment across Australia and New Zealand for boutique investment sector agnostic manager Anton Real Estate Partners.
